"It Never Snows In September" is a detailed and accurate account of Operation Market Garden from the German side of the battle. The author has done an excellent job of presenting facts and sequences of signal events that explain how this huge operation failed ever so close to succeeding. The book is very readable, and the photos are plentifully spread throughout the book. One downside to the book is the absence of maps, which adds to the confusion, especially with the barrage of German unit names. A single good map in the middle would have made a great difference.
