The story follows a detective robot named Gesicht as he investigates the murder of a famous robot named Mont Blanc. The murder appears to be connected to a larger movement to limit the rights of robots in this world. The book received mostly positive reviews, with some readers praising it as an outstanding tribute to the work of Osamu Tezuka. However, some readers found the concept of androids living exactly like humans unrealistic and the protagonist to be passive. The artwork was stunning but was criticized for being too static, with limited facial expressions and body movements, and for only ten first pages being colored. Overall, the series is engaging and touching, with a set-up that requires reading more than just the first volume to fully understand and appreciate the story.
