It is well made but is only 23 inches tall from the ring at the very top to the bottom. The lantern is made of thin sheet metal that can be bent back if it gets crushed by accident. It comes with a short chain, but you may need to purchase a longer chain depending on where you want to use it. It is not galvanized, so it may rust if left outside for long periods of time. The dimensions of the lantern are just over 15 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide, with a circumference of 11 inches, and a 1 1/2 inch hanging loop at the top.
