Customers have had to resort to downloading the APK version of the app or using the Sphero EDU app instead. The product is unsuitable for iOS users as the app is not available. On the other hand, it is a great and fun toy for small and big kids, shown by the string of programming one can use to make it perform preprogrammed behaviours. The product is well made with excellent haptic feedback from the controls, but the product description does not mention its limited functionality without the app. Overall, the Sphero R2-D2 App Controlled Droid is a great toy for the price with unbeatable sound, movement and app-features, provided the buyer is willing to spend the time to find the right app.
