Based on the renowned Stanley #65 low angle and #18 standard angle designs, this block plane is considered one of the best in its class. Featuring the classic and comfortable chrome plated Knuckle Cap, the WoodRiver Block Plane pays homage to the designs of yesteryear. However, upon closer inspection, you'll notice updates to the base castings that not only strengthen historically weak points but also improve the blade bedding area. With improved blade adjustment mechanisms and a rear adjustment knob, this block plane offers crisp and easy blade adjustments.

The adjustable mouth operates smoothly, allowing for precise tuning of the mouth for tasks ranging from coarse work to creating whisper-thin shavings. Crafted from stress-relieved ductile iron castings, these planes are precision machined, ensuring a flat and square base. Each plane comes equipped with a high carbon tool steel blade that is hardened to Rc60-64 for superior edge retention. The blade is ground to a 25° bevel, providing optimal performance.
