Introducing the SparkFun PID 14544 Current Sensor Breakout - ACS723 Low Current Experience high accuracy current sensing with the SparkFun Current Sensor Breakout - ACS723 Low Current version. This breakout board utilizes the ACS723, a cutting-edge Hall effect sensor that delivers precise measurements for low to moderate AC and DC current sensing applications. What sets this current sensor breakout apart is its electrical isolation feature. The Hall effect sensor ensures that the circuit being sensed and the circuit reading the sensor are completely isolated.

This means that even if your Arduino is running on 5V, the sensed circuit can operate at higher DC or AC voltages safely. With the ability to sense currents as small as 10mA and as large as 5A, this low current version offers flexibility for various project needs. Please note that the usable readings may be limited by noise and the resolution of the ADC reading the output, as the output is analog. To further enhance its capabilities, this breakout features full electrical isolation of measured and sensed circuits, allowing for precise measurements. It also includes an onboard amplifier that enables you to adjust the sensitivity according to your requirements. The ACS723 Sensor Breakout is designed to minimize noise when used at high gains.
