It can handle large saltwater tanks with ease and is perfect for use in a separate sump system. The Coralvue AQ 2000 pump that comes with the Octopus 150 INT is extremely reliable and doesn't make a lot of noise. The venturi clips onto the unit and is extremely easy to clean and is not prone to clogging with salt unlike other brands. The Tunze Osmolator is the only one that actually works and has an overflow warning in case the sump level rises due to a pump failure. The skimmer almost REQUIRES an automatic top-off to keep the water level in the sump Constant.
