The kit includes an instruction sheet that must be followed carefully to avoid any potential skin and scalp burns, hair loss, or eye injury. It is important to note that this product contains alkali and should not be used if the scalp is irritated or injured. The Soft & Beautiful® Super No-Lye Ultimate Conditioning Relaxer System Kit is not recommended for use on hair that has been treated with a thioglycolate product or on bleached or permanently colored hair that is damaged or breaking. It should also not be used with compound henna or metallic hair dyes.
If you are unsure about the type of hair color used, we advise contacting the hair color manufacturer for guidance. For those with previously texturized or relaxed hair, this relaxer should only be applied to new growth as directed in the instruction sheet.
