This book is prepared with the knowledge, experience and background of the professors that worked for Istanbul University which has been teaching Turkish since 1933. The books are organized according to European Language Criteria, accepted language levels and based on communication and are learner orientated. The A1 level is the beginner level. The course book has 6 units. Each unit is divided into three different subjects. Supporting each unit, there are the skills, grammar and vocabulary which are aimed to be learned by the student. Reading, listening, speaking and writing parts are included in the units along with the cultural aspects and games.
