The MotoTec Electric Trike 48V 500W is a very basic, light vehicle which is best suited as a faster mobility trike for older people. It does great on flat even surfaces such as smooth streets and malls. However, it does not do well on uneven or grainy surfaces. The platform is only about two inches from the ground, but the seat and handlebars are high and the rear tires are small, which makes it not very safe and must be driven with caution. It is a very bumpy and hard ride the faster it goes. The throttle is super sensitive and there is no low, med or high regulator, so your hand can easily get tired because of Constantly regulating the speed. The trike does have a reverse mode, but there is no parking brake. The basket that can be accommodated is too small for pets or groceries. It only has the most minimal features and doesn't feel very safe. For what it is, it is overpriced, badly made, and shouldn't cost more than $300.00.
