What is the FOXPRO XDecoy and how does it work?

The FOXPRO XDecoy is an innovative decoy designed for coyote hunting, specially built to attract predators using motion and realism. It includes a rotating tail that mimics the motion of prey, drawing in coyotes while you use a compatible X-Series electronic game call to replicate animal sounds. This combination enhances your hunting strategy, particularly in regions where natural prey movement might be minimal, effectively increasing your chances of a successful hunt.

Is the FOXPRO XDecoy compatible with all FOXPRO electronic game calls?

The FOXPRO XDecoy is specifically designed to seamlessly integrate with FOXPRO's X-Series electronic game calls. This compatibility ensures that hunters can easily control both the sounds and the decoy’s motion from a single remote, streamlining the hunting experience and maximizing effectiveness in attracting coyotes and other predators.

What features make the FOXPRO XDecoy stand out for coyote hunting?

Key features include its durable, American-made construction, a realistic design that mimics prey movement, and adjustable settings for different hunting environments. The decoy’s remote control allows you to adjust motion patterns and sound settings remotely, enabling you to adapt to the behavior of coyotes in real time. This high level of adaptability makes the XDecoy a valuable asset when hunting in challenging conditions or when dealing with educated predators.

Can the FOXPRO XDecoy be used in different weather conditions?

Yes, the FOXPRO XDecoy is built to withstand various weather conditions. Its robust design ensures functionality even in rain or windy environments, making it reliable for outdoor use. When hunting in adverse weather, the decoy’s motion can still attract coyotes, providing an advantage regardless of environmental challenges.

What types of prey can the FOXPRO XDecoy mimic?

The FOXPRO XDecoy is designed to mimic small mammals that coyotes typically hunt, such as rabbits and rodents. This realistic simulation effectively captures the attention of coyotes, making them more likely to approach. Hunters can strategically choose to use sounds that complement the decoy's movement, elevating the chances of luring in predators during the hunt.

How does the remote control work with the FOXPRO XDecoy?

The FOXPRO XDecoy comes with an intuitive remote control that allows hunters to operate both the electronic call and decoy functions simultaneously. This feature enables you to choose from different motion patterns and sound settings without having to be near the decoy, which is crucial during hunting. It empowers hunters to adapt tactics live, enhancing stealth and effectiveness.

Is the FOXPRO XDecoy portable and easy to carry?

Yes, the FOXPRO XDecoy is designed with portability in mind. Its lightweight and compact form make it easy to transport to various hunting locations. Many hunters find that its convenient size allows them to quickly set up and relocate the decoy as needed during the hunt, making it a practical option for a dynamic hunting strategy.

What is the best way to deploy the FOXPRO XDecoy for optimal results?

To deploy the FOXPRO XDecoy effectively, place it in an open area with clear sightlines for approaching coyotes. Ensure it’s positioned downwind from your hiding spot to avoid detection. Pair it with accompanying animal calls to create a realistic hunting scenario. Using these techniques maximizes the decoy's effectiveness and enhances your chances of success in calling in predators.

Can the FOXPRO XDecoy be used at night?

Absolutely, the FOXPRO XDecoy is suitable for nighttime hunting when coyotes are most active. Its motion mimics prey effectively even in low light, while using the right electronic calls can further increase your success at night. For nighttime hunting, consider pairing the decoy with some low-volume calls to maintain stealth while attracting coyotes.

FOXPRO Predator Editorial Review

The FOXPRO XDecoy has garnered positive feedback from customers who appreciate its quality and functionality during coyote hunting. Users report that the decoy effectively attracts coyotes, with one reviewer noting a particularly close encounter where a coyote walked within 35 yards while fixated on the decoy at night. Additionally, the built-in light feature has been highlighted as an excellent tool for drawing attention, even in low-light conditions. While the XDecoy performs well in the field, some users have mentioned a few minor drawbacks. The weight of the decoy was heavier than expected for some, and there are suggestions for a longer connection wire to facilitate easier setup when using it as a standalone unit on the steak. Nonetheless, customers still affirm that they would recommend the product due to its effectiveness and reliable performance during hunting sessions. In summary, the FOXPRO XDecoy proves to be an effective tool for coyote hunters, blending quality Construction with user-friendly features that enhance hunting success. **
