The pot is 3/8" and requires knob holes to be enlarged on some guitars. One reviewer had a faulty one and needed to reorder. However, the other reviewers found these pots to be solid, of good quality, and have a low drag with excellent control. Some required modifications to fit in their guitar such as using a round file to open up the shaft hole on the body of the guitar. For those with a Fender Stratocaster, it is recommended to use a 500k for the volume and then 2 250k’s for the tones.
