About This Item
Introducing the SVS Prime Bookshelf - Monitor speaker, the perfect addition to your audio setup. These bookshelf speakers are designed with precision and technology to deliver exceptional sound quality and performance. Featuring an aluminum dome tweeter, these speakers provide high SPL (Sound Pressure Level) with minimal distortion, giving you a sense of transparency and an immersive listening experience. The tweeter has been optimized with a Finite-Element-Analysis (FEA) diffuser to ensure perfect on-axis and off-axis frequency response, so everyone in your listening room can enjoy outstanding performance. The SVS Prime Bookshelf speakers also boast a great woofer with a polypropylene cone.
This lightweight and rigid cone deliver a flat frequency response and the necessary SPL to keep up with the other drivers, resulting in accurate and detailed bass reproduction. The woofer is equipped with aluminum shorting rings to reduce distortion and a vented voice coil former to keep the motor assembly cool during high SPL playback. The rear-ported cabinet is carefully tuned for optimum bass extension. To further enhance the sound quality, these speakers feature the exclusive SoundMatch crossover.
This intelligently designed crossover utilizes premium-grade capacitors, air-core inductors, and heavy-trace printed circuit boards to minimize distortion, maintain phase coherency, and deliver a tighter tolerance. The 2-way crossover is uniquely tuned so that each driver can blend seamlessly while offering the best on and off-axis response, resulting in a sharp time domain behavior.
