The Fishman Presys+ is a preamp system that offers a great sound quality and control layout. It has four bands (Bass, Midrange, Treble, Brilliance), but doesn't come with a 9v battery. The preamp turns on automatically when you plug in your instrument cable, and off when the cable is removed. While it is primarily designed for use with Piezo, the Presys+ is versatile and can be used with other types of instruments. The installation process is relatively easy, although you may need to have a guitar pro cut the groove where the saddle seats deeper. One of the Presys+'s best features is its onboard tuning. However, some customers have had issues with the sound quality. A few reviewers complain that the low E string and A string are very bright, while the others produce very little sound. One reviewer even suspects that the product is counterfeit. Another reviewer complains that the sound reproduction isn't any better than that of the cheaper Presys+ model, which is a disappointment considering the $189 price tag. Some customers have even had trouble with the unit not working at all.
